Who will celebrate with you?

I’ve been attending back-to-back events for the last few weeks, and I noticed that these events have been 'by invitation only.' I once asked one of the celebrants why he chose to make it by invitation only. He said, 'Sam, all I wanted for my birthday was to be surrounded by people who have my best interest at heart.

These events got me thinking about a lot of things. The first is that these celebrants wanted a community to celebrate their birthdays with them, not just anyone but people close to them.

God sets us in families, and when we choose to settle in, we can go from dryness to prosperity. You and I are not meant to celebrate alone; God has made provision for us all, and we can enjoy it if we embrace it.

Having a faith community where you are seen as a sister or brother to strangers who will go to any length to celebrate with you is indeed a privilege. We generally do not pay attention to such things until we see others in potentially similar situations having it differently.

Verse of the Day: Psalm 68:6. "God sets the solitary in families; He brings out those who are bound into prosperity; But the rebellious dwell in a dry land."

Who will you celebrate your next big thing with? Your brothers and sisters are all waiting to celebrate with you, so settle down in the place God has planted you.
