Why God loved David so much
I saw something today that made me understand why God loved David so much. Remember when Absalom, David's son was trying to take the kingdom? He plotted against his father and chased him out? So, someone came and told David that Ahitophel was with Absalom. Well, Ahitophel was David's chief counselor ( More like Special Advisor to the president). It was said that if Ahitophel counsels you it was like God Himself spoke.
As David was running away completely broken by the fact that his own blood (many of us are familiar with this) was betraying him, David looked up to heaven and Said,
'Lord, please Mercy" "Turn the counsel of Ahitophel to foolishness" David was broken, hurt, He was running for life, David just had the throne God gave him taken away. David was stabbed in the back by a son he loved so much. But David was still able to send a prayer up. In the most divine way possible. For the first time, the cousel of Ahitophel was thrown away. The man even hung himself because he could not bear the fact that his superior advise was discarded. And it was the mercy that made Absalom lose that coup.
DO THIS TODAY: Here's my plea to you today. Never forget to send a prayer up. In your weakest moment, even as you cry, even as you are broken, even as you're hurt, even when the pain is deep, even if it's a PANIC PRAYER, it would amaze you how God can turn things around. Always send a prayer up.
Song of the Day: Trust in God- Elevation worship.
