Who Prays for the Givers?
I was reflecting yesterday, and something dropped in my heart: many of us know how to receive, but we don’t know how to intercede for the givers. It’s heartbreaking when you think about it. The givers—the ones who go out of their way to bless others—often need more prayers than the receivers. Yet, how often do we forget to lift them up in prayer?
As I thought about this, I realized how much we take givers for granted. From the family members who sacrifice for us, to friends who show up when we need them, and even to God, the ultimate Giver—how often do we stop to pray for them? In God’s case thanking him
Think about it: Even Jesus, in His earthly ministry prayed for those around Him. He told Peter, "But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail." Luke 22:32
Here’s the truth: while God is the ultimate source of our blessings, He often uses people as vessels to fulfill His plans. When we pray for the givers in our lives, we are asking God to sustain and strengthen those He has chosen to work through, so they can continue to be channels of His goodness.
Prayer: Father, thank You for the givers in my life. Strengthen and bless them today. Help me to remember to pray for them and show my gratitude for their sacrifices. In Jesus' name, Amen.
