When God Puts You Ahead

I was reading 1 Kings 18 the other day and i marveled. 1 Kings 18 reveals the sheer power of God’s hand. After Elijah prayed for rain and the skies opened after three long years of drought, King Ahab quickly set off in his royal chariot, racing toward Jezreel. Ahab’s chariot, pulled by the finest horses, tearing through the stormy landscape. It was the epitome of speed and power.

And then there was Elijah, an old prophet, with nothing but his feet to carry him. Yet, something miraculous happened. “The hand of the Lord came upon Elijah” (1 Kings 18:46), and with supernatural strength, he outran Ahab’s chariot over a distance of nearly 17 miles, all the way to the gates of Jezreel! What seemed impossible by human standards became a stunning display of divine intervention.

It wasn’t human effort or physical strength that gave Elijah the ability to outrun Ahab—it was divine empowerment. When God's hand comes upon someone, the impossible becomes possible. What others achieve with resources and power, God enables His chosen ones to accomplish with grace.

Perhaps you feel like you’re behind in life, like you’re walking on foot while others ride chariots. Remember, when the hand of God is upon you, speed, strength, and success come in ways you can’t explain.

My Prayer for you: May th may e hand of God come upon you in ways you never expect.
