What We Really Need from God This Month
What we really need from God this month is MERCY.
There’s a story in 2 Samuel 9 that always stands out.
Jonathan and David had a deep friendship—one that went beyond words. They made a covenant, a promise to look out for each other’s descendants.
Jonathan once said to David:
"Show me unfailing kindness like the Lord’s kindness as long as I live... and do not ever cut off your kindness from my family." — 1 Samuel 20:14–15
David responded with the same heart. Years after Jonathan had died, he still remembered.
“Is there no one still left of the house of Saul to whom I can show God’s kindness?”
— 2 Samuel 9:1
And someone answered, “Yes. There’s a son—crippled in both feet. Living in Lo Debar.” A forgotten man... remembered by mercy.

David remembered someone most people had written off. This month may God remember you. Not because of perfection—but because of covenant mercy.
The same mercy that pulled Mephibosheth out of hiding and sat him at the king’s table will locate you in April.
You might feel unseen, overlooked, disqualified. But mercy sees you. Mercy chooses you. And mercy will bring you to the table.
A Word of Prayer for You:
I pray that mercy will find you this month—in places no one knows you’re hurting.
May the God who remembers covenant call you out of obscurity and into favor.
In Jesus’ name.
