Vaccine
Watching a mother’s face while their child is being vaccinated is one of the most moving things you’ll ever see.
You’ll notice the way their eyes follow every movement. Some hold their baby’s legs tight, others close their eyes, bracing themselves for the moment. A few will even whisper soft words of comfort. And then there are the ones who cry harder than the child.
The baby might feel just a pinch. But it’s the parent who truly breaks—because the pain isn’t theirs, but it feels like it is.
The way parents especially mothers carry emotional pain when their children hurt is deeply moving. It’s a small glimpse into how God feels about us.
Isaiah 63:9 says, “In all their distress, He too was distressed, and the angel of His presence saved them.
God doesn’t sit at a distance when we’re hurting. He feels it. When we cry, He doesn’t shrug, He leans in.
And just like that mother holding her baby, sometimes God allows the pain—not because He enjoys it, but because He knows the healing it will bring.
Reflection: Maybe you’re in a moment that stings right now. But know this—God is not indifferent. His love surrounds you like a parent who weeps even when you don’t understand why the pain is necessary.
