"I am tired"

I saw a tweet yesterday about an Olympian that deeply moved me:

This tweet was about a dedicated athlete who had gone through immense challenges, leaving her emotionally and mentally disorganized even before the Olympics began. Despite these hardships, she managed to push through and qualify for the 200m women's final, a significant achievement in itself. However, when the race concluded, she found herself in 6th place, just short of the podium.

Overwhelmed with exhaustion and disappointment, she broke down in tears, sobbing and expressing her fatigue with the heartfelt words, "I am tired." In that vulnerable moment, there was only one person consoling her, a stark contrast to the celebrations and attention athletes receives when they win a medal.

As I reflected on this athlete's experience, it reminded me of how we often face similar situations in life. We push through immense challenges, sometimes succeeding, sometimes not. Like the athlete, we may feel exhausted and say, "I am tired."
In these moments, we might feel alone, with no one to console us. This is when Jesus steps in to offer comfort and strength.
Consider Elijah, who, after fleeing Queen Jezebel, felt utterly alone and defeated. He cried out, "I have had enough, Lord." In his darkest moment, God sent an angel to provide for him, encouraging him to rest and regain his strength.
Jesus is there for us in our darkest times, providing the support we need to continue. Even when it feels like no one else is around, we can rely on Him for strength and solace.

Verse of the Day: Matthew 11:28 (NIV) - Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Question of the Day: What do you need the Holy Spirit to help you with this season of your life? How can we pray for you?

Song of the Day: I Need Thee Every Hour

~~ God is on your side!
