This is the word for the Day!

I was in a city over the weekend, drove past a church, and saw this sign that said: Stop walking around with a mouthful of scriptures and a heart full of hate.

It reminded me of the story of the Good Samaritan. A man was beaten and left for dead, and while religious leaders passed him by, a Samaritan—a person often looked down upon—was the one who stopped, showed compassion, and helped him. The Samaritan didn’t just know the scriptures; he lived them out with a heart of love and mercy.

It’s easy to know the words but miss the heart of God’s message. Quoting scripture means nothing if our actions contradict it. Are we loving like Jesus, or just talking about Him? A mouthful of scripture without a heart of compassion turns us into empty vessels—loud, but hollow. The world is watching not just what we say but how we live. So, let’s go beyond words. Let’s be known for the love, kindness, and mercy we show

Verse of the Day: 1 John 3:18 (NIV) Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.

I listened to this last night, and it was so calming. Thought you might enjoy it too. [Watch here]
