This is the best way to do life

There’s a moment in the Bible where Jehoshaphat, the king of Judah, was preparing for battle. But before rushing in, he paused and said, “But first, let’s find out what the Lord says” (1 Kings 22:5 NLT). Jehoshaphat understood the importance of seeking God.

Before we act, we should seek God’s guidance. How many times do we charge into decisions—big or small—without asking God first? Jehoshaphat’s choice reminds us to slow down and invite God into our plans. When we ask God first, we honor His wisdom over our own and set ourselves on the best path.

Reflection & Action: Before making any decision today, pause and pray. Ask, “God, what do You say about this?”
