This is hard, very hard

“But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you!” (Matthew 5:44 NLT). Humanly speaking, it's impossible. It takes a graced heart to do this. The carnal mind, the hurtful heart—without grace, they can’t love like this. Yet, Jesus calls us to rise above, choosing love over retaliation.

It’s not about pretending the hurt never happened. It’s about allowing God's grace to soften your heart. When you pray for those who hurt you, you invite God into the pain. Prayer transforms bitterness into compassion, turning enemies into opportunities for God to work through you. This love reflects the heart of our Father.

Reflection & Action: Think of someone who has caused you pain. Pray for them today, asking God to fill your heart with His grace and peace. Let His strength help you choose love.
