This is a simple prayer but it goes a long way

Verse of the Day: Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it." — Luke 11:28

One of the most incredible miracles in the Bible started with something very simple—ordinary obedience.

When Jesus was at a wedding in Cana, the hosts ran out of wine. Mary told the servants, “Do whatever He tells you.”
Jesus didn’t immediately perform a spectacular miracle. Instead, He told the servants to fill six stone jars with water. Imagine their confusion. It didn’t make sense, but they obeyed anyway.
And on the other side of their obedience? The water turned into wine—not just any wine, but the best wine of the feast (John 2:1-11).

After a long night of fishing with nothing to show for it, Jesus told Peter, “Put out into deep water and let down your nets for a catch” (Luke 5:4).
Peter could have argued. He was a fisherman—Jesus was a teacher. He knew the sea. He had tried already. But instead of questioning, he obeyed.
The result? A net-breaking, boat-sinking overflow of fish that changed Peter’s life forever.

Someone else’s miracle might be on the other side of your ordinary obedience.

The servants at the wedding in Cana could have ignored Jesus’ strange request to fill jars with water. But because they obeyed, a celebration was saved.
Peter could have dismissed Jesus’ instruction to cast his nets again. But because he obeyed, he experienced a miraculous catch and his life was forever changed.

What if your next breakthrough isn’t about doing something big, but about simply obeying the next instruction God gives you?
Maybe God is nudging you to forgive someone, apply for that opportunity, start that project, or simply spend more time in prayer. It may not seem grand, but obedience is the seed for miracles.
What’s that one thing God has been prompting you to do?

Simple Prayer: Holy Spirit, give me the grace to obey—no matter how small or ordinary it seems. Help me trust that Your instructions always lead to something greater.

Song of the Day: Trust and obey- Don Moen
