Shyness is extremely expensive

Jesus performed numerous miracles, including miracles of healing: healing of a man born blind, healing of a paralytic, healing of Peter's mother-in-law, healing of a leper, healing of a deaf and mute man, raising of Jairus's daughter, raising of Lazarus, turning water into wine, and feeding the 5,000, among others.

The one that struck me most is the healing of a woman with an issue of blood. Jesus was on His way to a ruler's house whose daughter had just died. Suddenly, a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years came from behind and touched the hem of His garment. She said, "If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well." But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her, He said, "Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well." And the woman was made well from that hour

As I reflect on this story, I realize how easy it is to let shyness and fear of the crowd stop us from reaching out for the help we need. The woman with the issue of blood didn't let the crowd silence her; she pressed forward with faith and determination. In the same way, we should not be shy to ask for help from Jesus or others when we need it. Asking for help is not a sign of weakness, but a step towards healing and breakthrough

Verse of the day: Hebrews 4:16. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
