Red letter signature
I used to have a manager who was supposedly a preacher.
His email signature screamed “JESUS IS COMING SOON”—in bold, red letters.
But if you worked with him? You wouldn’t have guessed he knew Jesus at all.
He was harsh with his words, impatient with staff, and would curse out anyone who fell short—even in the smallest things.
Every time I saw that red-letter signature, I’d think: “If Jesus is really coming, is this how we prepare?”
Because Christianity is more than a “God First” line in your Instagram bio.
It’s more than bold declarations on email footers.
It’s about dying to self—daily.
It’s one thing to talk about Jesus.
It’s another thing to reflect Him.
The Bible says, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16)
You can post scriptures and still be cruel in your emails.
You can wear a cross and still carry a heart far from God.
This walk is a daily surrender.
Not “God First” in theory—but “God first” in tone, in response, in sacrifice.
Not just a quote—but a crucified life.
Reflection: Today, are you just talking about Christ… or becoming more like Him?
Verse of the Day: Luke 9:23 Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.
Song of the Day: I Surrender” by Hillsong Worship — a reminder that following Jesus requires full surrender.
