Please don't miss your own path

I read a story that inspired me, and I thought to share the same with you today. Here it is:
A cyclist was riding his bike when he noticed a man ahead of him, about a mile ahead. He noticed that the man was traveling at a speed lower than his and decided to overtake him. He finally made that decision when he was about a mile to go on the road before turning off. To overtake the gentleman ahead successfully, the cyclist started cycling faster and faster and he noticed that he was gaining on the man ahead just a little bit as he got along. Just within minutes, he was about 50m behind, so he gathers all his strength and tried harder to overtake and finally, he was ahead! He was overjoyed that he had achieved his goal. He finally caught up with and passed the man ahead.
Within, he felt like a winner, “I won”- he said. He grinned and whispered to himself, ‘I won’, while the man he was competing with had no clue that they were in a race.

My admonition for you today is that you should focus on your path. Often, we compete with others who don't even know we're racing. We exhaust ourselves trying to surpass others when the only competition that matters is within ourselves. If we use most of our time and energy in competition and instead of reaching our destination, we will miss out on our own paths to our destinies.

Verse of the Day: Galatians 6:4-5. Each one should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves alone, without comparing themselves to someone else, for each one should carry their own load.
Here’s your song of the day: God is able- Hillsong.
