My plea to you today

My plea to you is simple: stop trying to help God.

You might be in a situation where you’re desperately trying to make things happen, taking matters into your own hands. You believe you're doing what’s necessary, but in reality, you're trying to help God perform the miracle.

Think about these examples: Elisha said, 'Go, wash yourself seven times.' It was only when Jesus said, 'Roll the stone away,' or 'Fill the jars with water,' that anyone acted. When Jesus said, 'Cast your net again,' they did it. Here's more: 'Make a snake and put it up on a pole; anyone who is bitten can look at it and live.' Elijah said, 'Do it again,' and they did it again. 'March around the city once with all the armed men. Do this for six days.' ALL OF THESE ARE SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS.

Anything you do outside of God's instructions is you trying to help Him perform the miracle. Train yourself to rest in His promises. The waiting season can be hard, and as human beings, our minds are quick to look for solutions. But train yourself to wait upon the LORD.

Verse of the Day: Psalm 62:8 (NKJV) - Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us.

Reflection: Reflect on times when you’ve tried to take matters into your own hands instead of waiting on God. How can you better trust in His specific instructions and timing?

Song of the Day: Word of God Speak by MercyMe. This song encourages us to seek God’s voice above all else.
