Pick up where you left off
I realized something today—I never updated you about our devotional emails going quiet for a while. It wasn’t intentional. Life just moved fast, and before I knew it, time had passed. Maybe you can relate? One day, you’re in sync—praying, studying, showing up in faith—and then suddenly, you blink, and things have slipped.
And that got me thinking... how often do we do the same in our relationship with God? Maybe you used to start your mornings in prayer, but lately, it’s been rushed. Maybe you had a rhythm in the Word, but somewhere along the way, distractions crept in.
Here’s the thing: God never presses “pause” on us. We may get busy, distracted, or off-track, but He remains constant—always present, always ready to pick things up right where we left off.
This reminds me of Lamentations 3:22-23:
"Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness."
So, if you’ve fallen out of rhythm—don’t overthink it. Just start again. Open your Bible. Whisper a prayer. Lift your hands in worship. There’s no guilt, no shame—just an open invitation to step back in and move forward.
We’re back. And I’m excited for what God has in store.
