This why people fail

So, here's a popular story in the Bible. It's about the man Jesus healed at the Pool of Bethesda. The pool was known as a healing pool where an angel of the Lord would stir the water every year, and whoever stepped in first would be healed. There was a man who had been there for 38 years. Jesus, knowing the man had been there for a long time, asked him, "Do you want to be made well?"

The man's excuse? "Sir, I have no man to put me in the pool when the water is stirred up."

As I thought about this man and his answer, "Sir, I have no man to put me in the pool when the water is stirred up," I realized that his response was filled with complaints and excuses. Complaining keeps us stuck and prevents us from seeing God's solutions. Jesus was there, offering healing, yet the man focused on what he lacked. Let's trust God and shift our focus from problems to His solutions.

TODAY: Reflect on how often we let complaints and excuses block our blessings. Let's shift our focus from our problems to God's solutions. Trust in Him and take a step of faith today
