ONLY 2% will pass this Test

One day, a wise man's neighbor approached him and said, "Do you know what I heard about your friend?" Before allowing the neighbor to continue, the wise man smiled and introduced the Triple Filter Test:

  • Is it true?

  • Is it good?

  • Is it useful?

The neighbor paused, realizing the story he was about to share failed all three criteria. The wise man gently replied, “If what you wish to share doesn’t pass these filters, why share it at all?”

This story reminds us of the incredible power of our words. The Bible says in Ephesians 4:29, “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.”

Before speaking, consider:

  • Will this build someone up or tear them down?

  • Does it reflect kindness and love?

  • Would you want the same words spoken about you?

Words matter. Let’s strive to make ours a source of encouragement, truth, and grace.
