One of you will betray me
One of the most sobering stories in Scripture is about Judas.
He walked with Jesus. Ate with Him. Saw the miracles. Heard the sermons.
But for thirty silver coins, he betrayed the Son of God.
In his heart, it must have felt like a well-planned move—he knew where Jesus would be, led the soldiers there, even gave them a signal: “The one I kiss is the man.”
A kiss... the symbol of love and friendship… used for betrayal.
But it didn’t end the way he imagined. The guilt was unbearable. The silver meant nothing. And the end? Tragic.
The lesson is clear: When you plot against others, you’re not just hurting them—you’re wounding yourself.
Judas didn’t just betray Jesus. He betrayed peace. He betrayed grace. And in the end, he lost everything.
Be careful what you wish for others. Be careful the traps you’re setting. They may end up destroying the very person who set them—you.
Reflection: Check your heart. Are there hidden motives you're justifying? Ask God to purify them before they lead to regret.
Verse of the Day: Matthew 26:24 The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him. But woe to that man who betrays the Son of Man!
Wishing you and your loved ones a joyous and blessed Easter! May this season of renewal bring you hope, love, and happiness. Happy Easter!
