DO NOT make this mistake!

There was a judge in the Bible called Jephthah. After winning a battle over the Ammonites, he vowed, "If you give the Ammonites into my hands, whatever comes out of the door of my house to meet me when I return in triumph from the Ammonites will be the Lord's, and I will sacrifice it as a burnt offering." Tragically, upon his return, it was his beloved daughter who greeted him first, sealing her fate in a heart-wrenching sacrifice.
Long story short, Jephthah fulfilled his promise. 😓 Judges 11&12

What’s the lesson here? The story of Jephthah teaches us to be cautious when making promises, especially in moments of emotion. Just as his hasty vow led to tragedy, our words to others can have profound consequences. Similarly, when we make vows to God, we must do so sincerely, understanding the weight of our commitments.

Verse of the Day: Proverbs 20:25- it is a trap to dedicate something rashly and only later to consider one’s vows.
