New Reminder

In the Old Testament, whenever God performed a miraculous act or proved His faithfulness, the Israelites would often stack stones to create a memorial for what God had done. This way, whenever future generations passed by the Ebenezer, they could ask their parents about what took place there.

There are numerous examples of Ebenezer moments in the Bible. Genesis 28:11. Jacob rose early, took the stone that he had put under his head, set it up as a pillar, and poured oil on its top. Joshua 4:8 -the Israelites took twelve stones from the middle of the Jordan, carried them over to the lodging place, and put them there.

Today, reflect and set up your own Ebenezer. In our most dire moments, we sometimes forget all the times that God has faithfully come through for us. There are countless reasons to raise an Ebenezer, moments where God's hand, provision, and guidance were evident. Remember how God raised a stone of help (Ebenezer) for you when you least expected it.

Set up your own Ebenezer of gratitude, acknowledging your journey with God. Share these stories with loved ones today, giving thanks for His faithfulness.
