A friend of mine recently had to update her Mac operating system because it was becoming sluggish. She likes her computer. It’s old but has been faithful. She's used to it, and change was out of the question for her.
During the update process, she found out that because her computer was a 2013 version, it did not have the capacity to update to the newest version of a music application that she needed to download. The operating system was simply outdated, and she needed a newer model to complete the task.

This reminds me of us as people. We know that we need to experience change to grow. Our old operating system or methods simply do not have the capacity to carry our new assignment. We also need bandwidth, but we would rather stick to the tried and true that works “good enough.”

What in your life needs updating? What old habits, thought patterns, or routines are preventing you from embracing God's perfect will for you? Today, take a step towards renewal. Seek God's guidance and be open to transforming your mind and life to align with His purpose.
