One story in the bible that has been ringing in my head for days is the story of Hannah + Samuel.
Back story, Hannah was barren for years and God eventually gave her Samuel. After she dedicated Samuel, she prayed sang joyous prayer of praise one of which is- There is none holy as the LORD; there is none besides you, there is no Rock like our God. She acknowledged that Samuel was a gift from God and not as a result of her strength or achievement. Here's what she said, "FOR BY STRENGTH SHALL NO MAN PREVAIL”. 1 Samuel 2:9.
By strength shall no man prevail means that by strength YOU cannot prevail. It’s practically impossible to navigate and overcome life’s challenges with our strength. We must look to something entirely different from flesh-and-blood, worldly strength.
Call to Action: Today, take a moment to reflect on the areas of your life where you might be relying too much on your own strength. Surrender those areas to God, and trust that He will provide and prevail on your behalf. Remember, "For by strength shall no man prevail.
Here’s your song of the day- His strength is perfect. CeCe Winans
