New Post

Last weekend, history was made at the Olympics with some unforgettable moments. The highlight was the women's 100m finals, where Julien Alfred from St. Lucia won gold, securing the first-ever Olympic medal for the Caribbean country. Julien Alfred became St. Lucia's first Olympic champion, a moment she and her nation will never forget. Someone on social media remarked, "First ever medal and it had to be gold? Incredible stuff. Congratulations to Julien Alfred and St. Lucia. Beautiful story!

As I thought about it, this scripture came to mind: Verse of the Day: "Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way as to take the prize." (1 Corinthians 9:24).

Julien Alfred's historic win didn't come without immense effort, dedication, and perseverance. She trained hard, stayed focused, and ran her race with the goal of winning. Similarly, we are called to run our race of life with the same determination and focus. The scripture advises that we run our race in such a way as to win. Winning matters, and there is surely a way to play to win. Never lose sight of the fact that God wants you to win in the race of life set before you. Work hard to ensure you are still on course to win based on the race the Lord has set before you.

Just as Julien's victory brought joy and pride to her nation, our victories in life, no matter how small, bring glory to God and inspire those around us. Never forget, God is waiting for you to win. Run in such a way as to take the prize.
