New Post

I read about a couple who thought they had their lives planned out. They went to the right colleges and took extra certifications, expecting an easy next phase of life. Yet, their experience differed from their plans. The downturn in their country's economy led them to migrate to a new country. There, they found themselves living on a cow farm, far from their expectations, without electricity or conveniences.
Raising their son in this unexpected setting, they learned valuable lessons. They experienced God in ways they never had before. He provided for them daily, taught them to love others even when it was difficult, and helped them build strong friendships with each other and with God. They learned to live by faith, maintain sound health and mind, keep out the noise, and build a great fellowship with God.

God took His own children through the desert land, He was with them all through and taught them how special they were to Him. He also distinguished them and drew them closer to Him. They experienced Him more in the wilderness than they would ever have in their previous world.

God is still in the business of taking us through routes where He teaches us to trust and walk closer to Him daily. Rest in Him and His plans for you.

Verse of the Day: Isaiah 55:8-9 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the Lord. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Song of the Day: Way maker

Reflective Question: What unexpected route has God taken you on, and what lessons have you learned from it?
