Over time, I've realized that people who are less religious tend to show more empathy, love, care, and tolerance.
A man was traveling from Jerusalem to Jericho when he was attacked by robbers. They beat him and left him half-dead. A priest and a Levite saw him but passed by. However, a Samaritan took pity on him, bandaged his wounds, and brought him to an inn, promising to cover any extra expenses.
Reflection: The Good Samaritan challenges us to see true compassion in unexpected places. Empathy and love are qualities of a truly compassionate heart, not confined to any specific group.
Call to Action: Reflect on your actions today. Are you quick to judge by outward religious practices, or do you see the potential for kindness in everyone? Strive to be like the Good Samaritan, offering help and love to all.
Verse of the Day: Matthew 5:16 (NIV) - In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."
Song of the Day: Let them like Jesus. Casting Crowns. Let this song inspire you to show love through your actions today.
