Anytime I read about Samuel, there's always a sense of awe. Check this out: Hannah was praying fervently in the temple, her lips moving but no sound coming out. Eli, the priest, thought she was drunk. When she explained her deep longing for a child, Eli told her, "Go in peace, and may the God of Israel grant you what you have asked of Him.

There are times I think God isn't interested in minor decisions like what to eat or wear. But He is. He wants us to come to Him with everything. Your small talk is a big deal to Him. He just wants you to communicate instead of worry. The hairs on your head are numbered (Matthew 10:30). He listens, He will answer you, He cares.

Reflection: Even our most secret prayers and moans are heard by God. He is intimately involved in every aspect of our lives, no matter how small. Today, bring even your smallest concerns to God in prayer. Trust that He cares about every detail and is ready to listen and respond.
