New Post
I was on a trip some time ago and had to catch another flight to reach my final destination. I had about an hour and a half between both flights, but something in me whispered, "Sam, you're going to miss that flight." The moment I thought it, I felt like I had already sealed my fate. You know how it goes—once the negative thought takes root, it feels like destiny, right? I rushed through immigration, hurried as much as I could, thinking I had time. But guess what? I missed the flight. By just 5 minutes! Absolutely crushed. And then that nagging thought came back louder: "See? I told you. You were going to miss it from the moment you thought about it."
As I thought about this, it became clear to me how powerful our words—and even our thoughts—can be. The Bible says, “Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers” (Ephesians 4:29). That includes the words we say to ourselves. We often sabotage our own prayers by allowing negative thoughts and words to slip through. It's like planting a seed of faith but uprooting it with doubt. Remember, if you've already prayed about something, don’t speak against it. Let your words align with the faith you've placed in God. Speak life, speak hope, and trust that God has set things in motion for your good.
Verse of the Day: Proverbs 18:21- Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.
