May the Lord never feel this way about us

“And the Lord was sorry he had ever made Saul king of Israel.” (1 Samuel 15:35)

This verse is a sobering reminder. Saul started well, chosen by God and anointed as Israel’s first king. But his pride, disobedience, and self-will led him down a path away from God. In the end, God regretted choosing Saul for the task He had given him.

May the Lord never feel this way about us. He has given each of us assignments, gifts, and a purpose. But it’s not just about starting strong—it’s about finishing well, staying humble, and remaining obedient. Let’s ask God for the strength to walk in His ways, so that we fulfill His calling on our lives.
