This man was hoping for a miracle

When other helpers fail and comforts flee, help of the helpless, oh, abide with me.

There was a man who couldn't walk, and he waited for 38 long years, hoping for a miracle by a healing pool. Jesus approached the man and asked if he wanted to be made well, to which the man responded that he had no one to help him into the pool when the water stirred.

Just as the man waited alone by the pool for 38 years, sometimes we, too, feel left alone in our struggles. It's in those moments when other helpers fail and comforts flee that we need the 'help of the helpless.' As the hymn 'Abide with Me' beautifully expresses, even when we feel abandoned, there is One who is always by our side, ready to provide the comfort and help we need.

Check this song. Got goosebumps listening to it.
