If Jesus Can, You can

One of the most touching moments in the Bible is when Jesus saw what He was about to suffer
Check this out: In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus went to pray, deeply distressed and troubled, knowing the suffering that awaited Him. He prayed to God, saying, "My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will." During this time, Jesus’ anguish was so intense that His sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground.

As I thought about this moment in Jesus’s life, when He saw how much He was going to suffer, He prayed to God. What made me marvel was that He first acknowledged that there was nothing God could not do. For me, that line, "My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me," is so comforting.

When we face our own trials and moments of deep distress, we can find comfort in knowing that Jesus understands our suffering. Just as He turned to God in His darkest hour, we too can seek God's presence and guidance. Let us remember that it's okay to ask God to take away our burdens, but also to trust in His will, knowing that He has a greater plan for our lives.

Reflection Question: When was the last time you turned to God in a moment of distress? How can you trust Him more with your burdens?

Verse of the Day: Luke 22:42 (NIV) Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.
