Isaiah 46:4
I read a story about a man who had a dream that he was walking along a lonely deserted road and God was right beside him. They were the only ones there, deep in conversation, laughing, and talking like close friends. But then, suddenly, he looked around and realized he couldn’t see God anymore. He was both sad and lonely.
While he was still wondering where God went, he heard a gentle voice say, “I’m not walking beside you anymore. You did not see me because I’ve been carrying you all along.”

Sometimes, in life’s hardest stretches we assume God has gone silent or distant. But what if those are the moments He’s actually the closest? Not beside you, but holding you carrying your weakness, your weariness, your fear.
Think of Elijah. After calling down fire from heaven and standing boldly before kings, he found himself running for his life, hiding in a cave, and feeling completely alone. He even told God, “I have had enough, Lord… I am the only one left.” (1 Kings 19:4,10). But God hadn’t left Elijah. Instead, He met him and reminded him that he was never truly alone.
We don’t always feel His presence. But faith reminds us: He hasn’t abandoned us. He’s simply shifted position—from walking beside us to carrying us through.
Verse of the Day Isaiah 46:4 (NIV) "Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you."
Reflection: When was the last time you thought God had gone quiet in your life? What if that silence was Him working harder than ever on your behalf?
