Hey Siri, play “Gratitude”

There’s something many of us do daily—asking Alexa or Siri to play a song, give directions, or set a reminder. It’s simple, fast, and convenient. Imagine starting your day by saying, “Hey Siri, play Gratitude,” and it’s as if your phone becomes a reminder to pause and reflect on all the blessings you’ve received.

But true gratitude comes from the heart, not just a song. David understood this when he said, “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name” (Psalm 103:1). David didn’t wait for convenience—he made an intentional choice to thank God with everything he had, and so should we.

Gratitude isn’t just for the good times—it’s for the hard moments too. Just like David, we need to bless the Lord in spite of what we see or feel. It’s easy to thank God when everything is going well, but true gratitude happens when we praise Him even in the middle of the storm.

So today, choose to lift up a song of gratitude no matter your current situation. When life feels uncertain, let your heart say, “Bless the Lord, O my soul.” Gratitude has the power to change your perspective and remind you of God’s faithfulness.
