So, here’s my question for you today

I was having a conversation with a friend recently, and he shared a powerful revelation with me: “I realized that if I don’t allow myself to be in the fire, I won’t be forged into who He wants me to be. I can’t afford to miss out on that.” His words struck me deeply, bringing to mind three significant themes: sacrifice, surrender, and value.

Let's be real—sacrifice and surrender can make us cringe. They often lead to inconvenience and discomfort, things most of us try to avoid. But the third theme, value, highlights the importance of these challenging experiences. My friend has learned that the value derived from his sacrifice and surrender far outweighs the temporary discomfort he might feel.

So, here’s my question for you today: What is God asking you to sacrifice or surrender? Do you trust that He is good and that His plans for you are to prosper you and not to harm you? Remember, Jesus Himself endured the ultimate sacrifice and surrendered even unto death, because He saw the immense value in reconciling us to the Father.

Reflection: The themes of sacrifice and surrender may feel daunting, but they are essential to our growth and alignment with God’s will. Are you willing to embrace the discomfort to be forged into who He wants you to be?

Today: Reflect on what God might be asking you to sacrifice or surrender in your life. Trust in His goodness and His plans for you. Remember, like Jesus, the value of what you gain through these challenges far surpasses the temporary discomfort.

Verse of the Day: Jeremiah 29:11. For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
