Go wash yourself in the Jordan River

So here's one interesting story in the bible. Naaman. Wealthy and a commander of the army. Had leprosy and came to Elisha to be prayed for, but instead Elisha gave out an instruction saying "Go wash yourself in the Jordan River 7 times and you'll be restored.

The servant man got furious and went away, for he expected Elisha to lay hands on him and pray, but Elisha only gave out an instruction. He even complained, that why Jordan of all rivers? It was until another servant came and talked to him. 2Kings 2:5 (NIV)

Now if he had dipped... Himself once or twice or even 6 times, his miracle wouldn't have happened, for the instruction given was that he's to dip himself 7 times.

Naaman almost missed his miracle not because he didn’t believe in God’s power, but because he didn’t like the process.
And that’s still us today. We want healing, breakthrough, peace, and favor but we want it our way. We want to dip once, twice, maybe even six times, and call it done. But God says seven. And He means seven. Too often, we obey halfway and then wonder why the full blessing hasn’t come.
We say: I prayed somewhat, i forgave a little bit, I gave what i could spare, I followed most of what God said.
Naaman didn’t get his miracle until he obeyed completely. Not a dip less.

Reflection: Is there something God told you to do that you’ve only done halfway? Go back. Complete the instruction. The miracle is waiting right on the other side of full obedience.
