This is Why we get into trouble

There was once a young man whose father, wealthy and kind-hearted, gave him everything he needed and always forgave his mistakes. Knowing this, the young man began to misbehave, thinking his father’s love and wealth would always cover his errors. But his reckless actions eventually led him into deep trouble—he lost his friends, his reputation, and nearly his life. Only then did he realize he had taken his father’s grace for granted, mistaking it for permission to live carelessly.

Like the young man, we sometimes misuse God’s grace, thinking it allows us to live without consequences. But grace isn’t a free pass to sin; it’s a gift meant to transform us. Let’s not misuse this precious gift but instead let it guide us to live lives that reflect the honor and responsibility God has entrusted to us.

Prayer: Lord, help us understand and appreciate Your grace, using it to grow in righteousness and not as a license to stray. Amen.

Reflection: Are there areas in your life where you’ve taken God’s grace for granted? How can you live in a way that reflects true gratitude for His grace?

Verse of the Day: Romans 6:1-2- Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means!"

Song of the Day: Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)" by Chris Tomlin

Reminder: Please continue praying for our community member whose son is fighting for his life. Let’s ask God for His healing touch, comfort, and strength for the family.
