Fear comes by hearing

I was at a Bible study yesterday, and during our discussion, someone said something that stuck with me:

"Fear comes by hearing too."

We always quote Romans 10:17—"So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."
But that conversation reminded me that just as faith can be built by what we hear, fear can also be planted the same way.

Fear is a response to a voice.
Sometimes it’s not the situation that’s scary—it’s what you’ve been told about it.

The same way faith is stirred by God’s promises, fear is stirred by the enemy’s whispers.

That’s why it’s important to guard what you hear and who you’re listening to.
Eve didn’t become afraid until she listened to the serpent.

Don’t let fear grow where only faith should live.
