There’s this hymn we used to sing when I was growing up. It’s called He Will Answer Every Prayer. I still remember the words:

God has given you His promise
That He hears and answers prayer;
He will heed your supplication
If you cast on Him your care.

Chorus: He will answer ev'ry prayer, He will answer ev'ry prayer, Go to Him in faith believing, He will answer ev'ry prayer.

To be honest, I didn’t fully grasp how deep this hymn was until I started praying for things and saw God answering, not always in the way I expected, but in ways that showed He was listening. Looking back, it’s more than a song—it’s a reminder of God’s faithfulness in hearing and responding to His children.

As I reflected on the hymn, I realized that God’s answers to prayer aren’t always immediate, but they’re always perfect. Think about Hannah in the Bible. She prayed fervently for a child, and though it seemed like nothing was happening, God eventually blessed her with Samuel, a prophet who changed history.

The truth is, God hears every prayer. Whether it’s a whisper or a desperate cry, He listens. His answers are about more than just granting requests; they’re about growing our faith and aligning us with His perfect plan.

Reflection: What prayers have you set aside, thinking God isn’t listening? Revisit them today, trusting His timing.

Verse of the Day: This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. (1 John 5:14)

Song of the Day: What a Friend We Have in Jesus.
