Civil War

I was with my friends over the weekend, and we watched the movie Captain America: Civil War. It's one of those superhero movies. Well, there's this guy called Chadwick Boseman. Everyone knows him because he was the main character in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Anytime Chadwick shows up on the screen, everyone literally says "Wakanda," even though his name is Chadwick.

Watching Captain America: Civil War and seeing Chadwick Boseman reminded me of how people often identify us by certain traits or roles. Chadwick - widely recognized as Black Panther, but he was much more than that role.
Similarly, our true identity is found in Christ, beyond any labels the world gives us.

Sometimes, you might find yourself defined by your job, achievements, or even mistakes. People might see you as "the successful one," "the funny one," or "the one who messed up." But just like Chadwick was more than just the Black Panther, you are more than the labels others place on you.

Verse of the Day: Ephesians 1:4-5 (NIV) says, "For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will."

Reflection: Reflect on how you see yourself versus how God sees you. Let go of worldly labels and embrace your identity in Christ. Embrace your God-given identity. Walk confidently as a child of God, loved and valued beyond measure.
