Boldness Vs Arrogance

I recently heard a story about a young professional who had just landed a prestigious job. Confident in her skills, she approached her boss with an air of arrogance, thinking she had everything under control. However, her overconfidence led to mistakes and misunderstandings. She realized that while she had the right to come boldly with her ideas, she needed to approach with humility, seeking guidance rather than flaunting her abilities.

Many of us might confuse coming boldly before the throne of grace with approaching God with overconfidence or arrogance. Boldness doesn’t mean we should be arrogant or presumptuous. It’s about having the courage to seek God’s help and mercy, recognizing our dependence on Him. True boldness is rooted in humility, understanding our need for God’s grace without overestimating our own abilities.

Today, reflect on how you approach God. Are you coming to Him with a humble heart, acknowledging your need for His guidance and grace? Take a moment to pray and ask God to help you balance boldness with humility, so you can truly receive His mercy and grace.

Verse of the Day: Hebrews 4:16 (NKJV) – Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need."
