Are you ready?
A young man had been praying for a new job. Not just any job. He wanted something that aligned with his purpose, paid well, and offered flexibility. He believed God had more for him than the cycle he was stuck in. One day, a mentor asked him, “If the job came tomorrow, are you ready to receive it?”
He paused. He’d prayed… fasted even. But his résumé was outdated. He hadn’t practiced interviewing or sharpened his skills in months.
That conversation changed everything.
He started updating his documents, took a few online courses, and began waking up as if he already had the new role. Disciplined and expectant. Three months later, he got an unexpected email from a company he didn’t even apply to. Long story short? He got the job. The breakthrough didn’t start when the offer came. It started the moment he prepared for the promise.
Sometimes God asks us to make space before He fills it. That’s not just hope — that’s faith. Real faith doesn't just wish for a promise , it prepares for it.
Isaiah 54:2-3 says it like this:
“Enlarge your house; build an addition. Spread out your home, and spare no expense! For you will soon be bursting at the seams…”
God told His people to expand before the increase came. That seems upside-down but it's right in line with how heaven works.
Reflection: What are you believing God for? a home? a spouse? a baby? a business? a breakthrough? Are you ready or just wishing? Your preparation is proof of your faith. Don’t just pray about it — prepare like it’s already done.
